Hospital background Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH) is a major public referral and teaching hospital in Mbarara City, Western Uganda. It is the principal referral centre for the western region and serves as the teaching hospital for the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) Faculty of Medicine. Alongside its public services, the hospital operates a private wing offering specialised and timely care.

About the role The private wing at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill three (03) Askari posts. Askaris will provide security and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities - Guard the private wing premises and control access at entry points - Monitor CCTV, patrol the premises and report suspicious activity - Maintain order and assist patients, visitors and staff as needed - Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly - Record and report security incidents to the supervisor - Keep the security post clean, organised and properly handed over

Qualifications and requirements - Minimum of Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) - Prior security experience, physical fitness and good character required - Honest, vigilant and reliable - Ability to work shifts, including nights and public holidays
