Hospital background Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH) is a major public referral and teaching hospital in Mbarara City, Western Uganda. It is the principal referral centre for the western region and serves as the teaching hospital for the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) Faculty of Medicine. Alongside its public services, the hospital operates a private wing offering specialised and timely care.

About the role The private wing at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill seven (7) Enrolled Nurse posts. Enrolled Nurses provide dedicated bedside nursing care to patients in the private wing, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities - Provide compassionate, quality bedside nursing care to patients - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed - Monitor and record patients' vital signs and progress - Assist with patient admission, discharge and documentation - Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic ward environment - Collaborate with nurses, midwives and doctors on patient care plans

Qualifications and requirements - Certificate in Nursing from a recognised institution - Registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) with a valid practising licence - Compassionate bedside manner and good communication skills - Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
