Flagship Hungarian government scholarship covering Bachelor's, Master's and PhD study; the 2027/2028 application period starts in November 2026, with submission expected around mid-January 2027.
Covers full tuition, housing support, medical insurance and monthly stipend. The 2026/27 round closed on January 15, 2026; the Hungarian embassy confirms the 2027/28 call has not yet been published. Medical, nursing, pharmacy and public health programmes at Hungarian universities are popular among African recipients. Applicants must also follow any Uganda Ministry of Education nomination requirements, so prepare early. Historically the portal opens in mid-November with a mid-January deadline (2pm CET).
