Comprehensive scholarships for the 2027 intake covering tuition, accommodation, living expenses, laptop, medical aid, visa and annual travel. Postgraduate applications close October 31, 2026.
UCT's partnership with the Mastercard Foundation supports young Africans who show academic excellence and leadership potential but lack financial means. Support is renewed annually subject to performance and participation in the Program's development activities. Undergraduate applications for 2027 are closed, but postgraduate applications remain open: applicants to an eligible Faculty of Health Sciences postgraduate diploma, honours degree or master's programme must submit the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program application by 31 October 2026. Candidates should also satisfy UCT's admission requirements for their chosen programme.
