Russian Government Scholarships (State Quota) for Uganda

## About the scholarship The Russian Government Scholarship — commonly called the 'State Quota' — is the Russian Federation's national scholarship for foreign students, organised by Rossotrudnichestvo under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Uganda confirms that citizens of Uganda may apply for the Russian state scholarships to study at Russian universities within the quota for international students. Candidates apply through the official selection portal, Education in Russia, and undergo a competitive selection round coordinated in-country by the Russian Embassy in Kampala.

## What it covers The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the entire period of study, a monthly stipend to support living expenses, and university dormitory accommodation in most cases. It also includes a preparatory Russian-language course for non-native speakers where required. International airfare is generally not covered, and health insurance varies by university.
