The Merck Foundation Media Recognition Awards 'Diabetes & Hypertension' 2026 invite journalists across print, radio, online and multimedia platforms to showcase strong, influential messages that promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness about prevention and early detection of diabetes and hypertension. The program is part of Merck Foundation's broader health-media capacity-building agenda across Africa. Ugandan health journalists are eligible under the East African category grouping. Multiple applications are explicitly encouraged. Winners are announced publicly via Merck Foundation's website and social channels.

Eligibility

Media representatives from African (including East African), Asian and Latin American countries; published/broadcast work promoting healthy lifestyles and awareness of diabetes and hypertension prevention and early detection.
