Medical Officer (2 positions)

Holy Innocents Children's Hospital (HICH) is a private, not-for-profit paediatric hospital founded by the Catholic Archdiocese of Mbarara, providing holistic, quality healthcare to children. HICH is hiring 2 Medical Officers to evaluate patient health, diagnose illness and lead treatment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities - Examine patients in hospital wards and outpatient clinics; take medical histories and perform physical exams - Diagnose conditions, create and execute treatment plans, and prescribe medication or therapy - Document patient records and maintain accurate, confidential charts - Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care - Supervise and mentor junior medical staff - Communicate diagnoses, treatment options and preventive care clearly to patients and families - Respond to emergency cases and participate in staff meetings

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery - Registered with the UMDPC, holding a valid practising licence - At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a recognised institution
