The world's largest student startup competition awards US$1 million in seed funding to the winning team. Registration for the next cycle starts in September 2026.

The Hult Prize challenges student teams to build impact-driven startups tackling global issues through five progressive phases: campus/open-application qualifiers (September-February), national competitions (March-May), a digital incubator and accelerator, and global finals where one team wins US$1M in seed funding. Ugandan university students - including those in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health - regularly compete through campus programs or the open application route when their institution has no local event. Ideas addressing health-access challenges fit squarely within the SDG-aligned brief.

Eligibility

Teams of 2-4 students enrolled in any degree-seeking university program worldwide, all aged 18+ by Feb 28, 2027; ventures must be impact-driven and SDG-aligned (health innovations qualify).
