Head of Clinical Services - Medsafe Hospital

Medsafe Hospital, located in Lungujja - Zone 8, Kampala, is committed to caring for the health of our community with professional excellence. We are now hiring an experienced and dynamic medical leader as Head of Clinical Services to oversee our clinical operations.

About the role

The Head of Clinical Services will provide strong leadership and management for the clinical services of Medsafe Hospital. As the senior clinician in charge of day-to-day clinical operations, you will coordinate the work of the medical team, maintain high standards of patient care and ensure that clinical services run smoothly and safely. This is a leadership position that combines clinical expertise with hospital management, and it is ideal for a medical professional with a proven record of leading teams in a busy health facility.

What we are looking for

This role demands a mature and experienced clinician who has spent years practising in a busy health facility and has moved into leadership. We want someone who understands both the clinical and the administrative side of running a hospital, who can guide and support other health workers, and who sets high standards for quality of care.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery
• Master's in Public Health, Family Medicine, Healthcare Management or an MBA
• 5+ years of professional clinical experience in a busy health facility
• Past experience in hospital management or a leadership role
• Must be fully registered and licenced with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC)
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to quality, safety and compassionate patient care
