Chevening is the UK Government's prestigious international scholarships programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. It offers exceptional future leaders the opportunity to further their education in the UK, so that they can drive impact in areas of shared priority for the UK and their home countries. About the programme In Uganda, Chevening operates under the theme 'Learn in the UK, lead at home, shape the world.' At a time of unprecedented global challenges, the Chevening network offers a real cause for hope, with its community of leaders and decision-makers already making a measurable impact in areas like climate action, economic prosperity and conflict recovery. The scholarship Chevening Scholarships support study towards a one-year taught master's course at a UK university, with funding provided by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations. Award holders join a global network of leaders working with the UK to shape a more resilient, prosperous and sustainable future, and return home to apply their learning for lasting impact in Uganda.
