Clinical Officer (2 Positions) - Grace Family Health Centre

Grace Family Health Centre, located in Banda - Nakisunga, Mukono District, is looking for two skilled and dedicated Clinical Officers to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. We are committed to providing accessible, quality healthcare to the communities we serve, and clinical officers are the front line of that mission.

About the role

The Clinical Officers will provide patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and health education while maintaining high standards of patient care. You will work alongside our nurses, midwives and other healthcare staff to care for patients across a wide range of conditions, from the first consultation through treatment and follow-up. This is a demanding but deeply rewarding role for a registered clinical officer who is confident, careful and committed to the wellbeing of every patient.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, take medical histories and conduct physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within your professional scope
• Prescribe and administer appropriate treatment
• Maintain confidential patient records and provide health education
• Refer patients who require specialised care and work closely with other healthcare staff
• Follow clinical standards and keep the consultation environment safe and organised
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families

Qualifications and requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification
• Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional council
• Relevant clinical experience is an advantage
• Strong communication, teamwork and patient-care skills
• Sound clinical judgement and attention to detail
• A professional attitude and respect for patient privacy and confidentiality
