Union World Conference on Lung Health 2026

The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2026 is organised by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), the world's oldest organisation dedicated to lung health.

## About this conference The conference runs November 17-20, 2026 at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It covers the full spectrum of lung health, including tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, tobacco control, and health systems and policy, organised into tracks on research methods, disease and crosscutting themes, and the TB care cascade. As the world's largest conference dedicated to lung health and TB, it is a key event for Ugandan TB and respiratory-disease programme staff, given Uganda's ongoing TB burden, offering direct access to global evidence and to scholarship-funded participation for those from lower-income countries.
