IDI, a Ugandan health-systems and infectious-disease research institute at Makerere University, accepts internship registrations year-round (requires a university introduction letter, ID and academic transcript with 3.0+ CGPA); no application fee.

The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is a Makerere University College of Health Sciences institute that works across HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, training, research, laboratory services, and health system strengthening in Uganda and the wider region. Its internship programme places chartered university students inside these technical departments.

## About this internship Interns are placed according to the relevance of their coursework to a department's objectives, across IDI's core areas: prevention, care and treatment; training; research; laboratory services; global health security; and health system strengthening. IDI does not interview student interns; selection is based on relevance of coursework and the order in which applications are received.

## Who can apply - Only students from chartered universities are considered - Minimum CGPA of 3.0 - Must provide a letter of introduction from your institution - Must present a valid institutional identity card - Must present a valid National ID
