MIHS / Mildmay Internship & Placement Programme

The Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS), formerly Mildmay Uganda, is a health sciences training institution at Lweza that has provided HIV/AIDS care, treatment, and training in Uganda since the 1990s. Its Internship and Placement Programme brings local and international students and professionals into Mildmay's clinical and training environment for a defined period.

## About this internship Placements run at Mildmay's flagship facility at Lweza and across the 16 districts of central Uganda that Mildmay supports, giving participants exposure to a wide range of health-related fields alongside Mildmay's professionals. The programme is structured, with regular opportunities for individual mentorship. All placements begin with a two-day orientation covering expectations, Ugandan culture, an overview of Mildmay's work, a site tour, and key health and social-work policies and guidelines. On-site accommodation can be arranged.
