Paid 2-6 month internships offering practical humanitarian experience with stipend, return travel reimbursement and visa assistance where no other support exists. Positions posted on rolling basis.

UNHCR offers eligible students and recent graduates experience in protection, public health, communications, research/data analysis, emergency response and program management aligned with their studies. Positions are posted on a rolling basis across global offices; interns who lack external funding receive a stipend covering basic living costs and local transport. Relevant for Ugandans interested in humanitarian health work, including refugee health operations such as those in West Nile settlements.

Eligibility

Current students (undergraduate with 2+ years completed, or graduate) or recent graduates (within 24 months) of an accredited university, any nationality incl. Ugandan; excellent English (B2+); no immediate family members working at UNHCR.
