Fully funded two-year fellowship combining public health training with health-information systems and informatics field practice across African Union Member States. Cohort starts November 2026.

Part of Africa CDC's African Epidemic Service flagship programme under Health Workforce Development, this track trains young professionals in public health informatics to strengthen disease surveillance and health information systems. Funding covers stipend, travel, insurance and learning materials. Ideal for Ugandan graduates interested in DHIS2, data science and digital health for outbreak detection and response.

Eligibility

Citizens of African Union Member States (incl. Uganda) under 35 with bachelor's or master's degree; letter of support from Ministry of Health/National Public Health Institute or equivalent; proficient in an AU official language.
