Fully-funded Turkish government scholarships for bachelor's, master's and PhD study; Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing are among the eligible fields (health applicants generally need around 90% academic standing). Application window normally runs annually 10 January to 20 February.

Turkiye Burslari (Turkiye Scholarships) is the Turkish government's fully funded scholarship programme, run by YTB, covering associate, bachelor's, master's and PhD study at universities across Turkiye for international students, including Ugandans.

## About this scholarship Turkiye Burslari is a highly competitive, merit-based scholarship covering the full cost of study for international students at all levels, from associate degree to PhD, including a year of Turkish language preparation ahead of most academic programmes.

## Who can apply - Applicants must not hold Turkish citizenship, including dual citizenship with Turkey. - Applicants must not already be receiving another Turkish government scholarship. - Associate and Bachelor's degree applicants must be under 21 years old with at least 70% academic achievement. - Master's degree applicants must be under 30 years old with at least 75% academic achievement. - PhD applicants must be under 35 years old with at least 75% academic achievement. - Applicants to Health Sciences programmes (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy) must have at least 90% academic achievement.

## What it covers - Full tuition fees. - Free accommodation in state dormitories. - Health insurance. - A round-trip flight ticket. - One year of free Turkish language training (TOMER) ahead of most degree programmes.

## How to apply Applications are submitted online through the Turkiye Scholarships portal (tbbs.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr), which requires free registration before starting the application; a complete application typically takes 30-60 minutes. Commonly required documents include: - A colour passport scan, valid for at least one year. - A recent passport-style photo on a white background. - Official academic transcripts (translated if not in English or Turkish). - A diploma/certificate, or an expected-graduation letter for final-year students. - A motivation letter and study plan/research proposal. - Two academic or professional recommendation letters. All documents must be uploaded as PDF or JPEG files under 2MB each.

Eligibility

Open to non-Turkish citizens with no current Turkish government scholarship, meeting degree-specific age and grade thresholds: under 21 with a 70%+ average for Associate/Bachelor's, under 30 with 75%+ for Master's, under 35 with 75%+ for PhD, and 90%+ for Health Sciences programmes (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy).
