Rotary Foundation Global Grants (Disease Prevention & Treatment / Maternal & Child Health)

Rotary Global Grants fund large, sustainable international humanitarian projects developed jointly by Rotary clubs, and are one of the primary ways The Rotary Foundation supports disease prevention and treatment and maternal and child health work worldwide.

## About this grant Global grants support large-scale international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in one of Rotary's areas of focus, including disease prevention and treatment and maternal and child health, alongside peace-building, water and sanitation, education, economic development, and the environment. Funded projects must respond to a need identified by the local community, involve active participation from both Rotarians and community members, and include a plan for long-term sustainability after grant funds are spent.

## Who can apply - Applicants must be Rotary or Rotaract club members; grants are formally sponsored by clubs or districts, not by individuals or outside organizations - A project requires both a sponsoring Rotary club or district in the country where the activity takes place, and a partnering Rotary club or district outside that country - Sponsoring clubs and districts must first complete Rotary's club and district qualification requirements before applying - Projects must fall within disease prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, or one of Rotary's other recognized areas of focus

## What it covers - Minimum total project budget of US$30,000 - World Fund match of at least US$15,000, up to US$400,000, per grant - The World Fund matches 80 percent of contributions made through District Designated Funds (DDF) - Projects can also draw on club and district cash contributions and, where available, directed gift or endowed fund program award spendable amounts

## How to apply - Sponsoring clubs and districts apply through Rotary's online grant application tool at rotary.org/grants - Applications must be approved by the relevant district's Global Grants Sub-Committee before submission to The Rotary Foundation - The Foundation accepts Global Grant applications on a rolling basis throughout the year

## Key dates - Rolling basis: no fixed annual deadline; applications are reviewed as they are submitted
