## About the program The Global Health Corps Africa Leadership Accelerator is a 9-month hybrid fellowship for early-to-mid-career public health professionals who hail from and work within public health institutions across Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia. Fellows remain in their current jobs while participating, applying new leadership and systems-thinking skills directly to their work. It runs from September through May (e.g., 2026-2027 cohort: September 2026 – May 2027).

## What it offers All program costs are covered by GHC, including travel to retreat locations, lodging and meals for in-person retreats. Participants receive: monthly virtual Leadership Academy workshops; monthly small-group learning; asynchronous learning; one-on-one GHC staff coaching; a 360° assessment; mentorship from GHC alumni and partners; two in-person overnight retreats (a mid-fellowship cross-country retreat and an end-of-program country-specific retreat); and integration into GHC's lifelong global network spanning 40+ countries with 1,300+ alumni. GHC reports that 73% of fellows took on additional leadership responsibilities after the program.
