The 5th International Conference on Public Health in Africa runs November 23-27, 2026 in Addis Ababa. Abstract submission closes September 15, 2026.

CPHIA 2026 is Africa's foremost public health gathering, convening political leaders, policymakers, researchers, innovators, civil society and youth around Africa's Health Security and Sovereignty agenda. The scientific programme covers health systems, workforce, financing, surveillance and innovation tracks. High-quality abstracts may be submitted for potential consideration for travel scholarships to attend the conference. Registration is now open, with invitation letters available upon registration for visa purposes. Presenting authors must register for the conference; final presentation uploads are due October 15, 2026.

Eligibility

Open to researchers, scientists, public health practitioners and implementers from Africa and beyond; abstract submitters may apply for consideration for travel scholarships. Ugandan health workers and researchers are eligible.
