HICH Mbarara is hiring a Biomedical Technician to maintain medical equipment and the hospital's oxygen plant.

Holy Innocents Children's Hospital (HICH) is a private, not-for-profit paediatric hospital founded by the Catholic Archdiocese of Mbarara, providing holistic, quality healthcare to children. HICH is hiring a Biomedical Technician to maintain, install and calibrate medical equipment, including the hospital's oxygen plant, and train clinical staff on safe use.

Key Responsibilities - Manage oxygen cylinder handling, filling and purity testing per MDOCS policy - Maintain and calibrate biomedical machines and equipment to prevent downtime - Support installation, testing and repair of hospital equipment - Provide technical support and training to physicians, nurses and technicians - Compile performance and maintenance reports, including oxygen consumption and revenue - Update the hospital's medical equipment asset register quarterly

Qualifications - Diploma in Biomedical Engineering - At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a recognised institution

Key Skills Problem-solving and troubleshooting, clinical collaboration, quality assurance/testing, and clear technical communication.
