Amref, the largest Africa-headquartered international health development organisation, has a Uganda country office and posts graduate internships (public health, RMNCAH, ICT, communications) on a rolling basis. Amref states it charges no recruitment fees.
Amref Health Africa is Africa's largest health development NGO, headquartered in Nairobi and working across the continent to strengthen community health systems. Its Graduate Internship Programme gives recent graduates and early-career professionals structured, practical experience alongside Amref's technical teams.
## About this internship Interns work alongside Amref experts, applying their training to real programme challenges in areas such as public health, RMNCAH (reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health), and communications. Placements normally run three months and can be extended up to a maximum of six months.
## Who can apply - Recent graduates who completed a Bachelor's degree within the last year, or who are graduating this year - Early-career professionals with no more than one year of work experience - Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage) - Passionate about learning and developing practical skills
## What you get - A modest monthly stipend (varies by specific internship posting)
## How to apply Apply online through Amref's careers portal (amref.org/careers/graduate-internship-programme), which uses a five-step application: personal information, reasons for joining Amref, educational background, professional background, and review and submit. A CV (PDF, max 20MB) and a motivational or cover letter/statement of interest are required, and all documents must be in English.
