Job Summary The Pediatrician (Business Partner) is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents through outpatient consultations and follow-up care. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing childhood illnesses while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote child health and well-being. The Pediatrician will practice independently while utilizing the medical centre as a consultation facility for patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical consultations for infants, children, and adolescents. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions. Monitor child growth and developmental milestones. Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans. Provide preventive healthcare services, including immunization guidance and health education. Refer patients for specialized investigations or treatment where necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records. Educate parents and caregivers on disease prevention, nutrition, and child wellness. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care. Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards at all times. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB/MBBS) or equivalent. Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics. Valid practicing license. Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC). Actively practicing as a Pediatrician. Skills & Competencies Pediatric diagnosis and clinical management Patient-centered care Clinical decision-making Communication and interpersonal skills Medical ethics and professionalism Record keeping and documentation Working Arrangement Business Partner / Consultant arrangement.
