Vacancy Announcement — Arua School of Comprehensive Nursing

Position: Nurse Health Tutor (2 Posts)

Arua School of Comprehensive Nursing, a leading health training institution in the West Nile region, trains quality nurses for quality services. We are seeking dedicated Nurse Health Tutors to strengthen our nursing faculty.

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor of Nursing with Postgraduate Qualification in Medical Education; or - Diploma in Nursing with Bachelor of Medical Education (BME).

Experience/Other Requirements: - Teaching experience in a health training institution is an added advantage. - Registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) is desirable.

Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and deliver theoretical and practical instruction in nursing subjects according to the national curriculum. - Design lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment instruments aligned with UNMEB requirements. - Supervise, guide, and assess students during skills laboratory sessions and hospital/community clinical placements. - Mark and moderate continuous assessments and end-of-course examinations. - Provide academic advising, counseling, and mentorship to nursing students. - Keep accurate records of student performance, attendance, and course coverage. - Participate in staff meetings, curriculum reviews, research, and continuing professional development. - Model professional nursing ethics and standards in all teaching and clinical supervision activities.
