Africa's Business Heroes (ABH) Prize

## About the opportunity Africa's Business Heroes (ABH) is the Jack Ma Foundation's flagship philanthropic program in Africa, a 10-year initiative to recognise and support 100 African entrepreneurs who are creating positive impact in their communities. It is explicitly pan-African (open to candidates from all 54 African countries), inclusive of all ages and genders, and sector-agnostic.

## What it offers Each year ten finalists share a USD 1.5 million prize pool: the winner takes USD 300,000, the 1st runner-up USD 250,000, the 2nd runner-up USD 150,000, and the other seven finalists USD 100,000 each. An additional USD 100,000 is allocated for global immersion training. Beyond funding, finalists receive high-quality video features and media coverage, one-on-one mentorship from global business leaders, tailored training (financial management, marketing, IP law, investment readiness), and lifetime access to the ABH community of entrepreneurs, investors and mentors.

## Eligibility - Founder or co-founder of the business - African citizen or direct descendant (child or grandchild) of an African citizen - Company registered, headquartered and primarily operating in an African country - At least three years of revenue with demonstrated market traction - NGOs, ideas and projects without operating businesses are not eligible

## How to apply Register and apply through the official portal at africabusinessheroes.org/en/register. The multi-stage process advances the Top 100 applicants to video-call interviews, then the Top 20 (after third-party due diligence) pitch in person in the Semi-Finals, and the Top 10 compete in the Grand Finale for a share of the USD 1.5 million in grants.
