Wakiso Radiology and Medical Center is a growing private healthcare facility in Wakiso District offering diagnostic imaging, laboratory and general medical services to the community. Our work is guided by a simple promise - Test, Trust, Treat - and as our patient numbers grow we are expanding our clinical team. We are seeking passionate and qualified professionals to join our dedicated team of caregivers.

We are currently hiring for TWO positions:

━━━ 1. MIDWIFE ━━━

As a Midwife at Wakiso Radiology and Medical Center, you will provide compassionate, safe and professional maternal and newborn care to the women and families who trust us. You will be at the heart of our maternity services, from antenatal clinics through delivery to postnatal follow-up.

Key responsibilities: - Provide antenatal care including maternal assessment, health education and screening; - Manage normal labour and delivery, and provide immediate newborn care; - Identify and promptly refer complicated pregnancies and obstetric emergencies; - Provide postnatal care and support for breastfeeding and family planning; - Maintain accurate maternity records and report monthly statistics; - Educate mothers and families on nutrition, hygiene and newborn care; - Work closely with the medical officer and nursing team to ensure safe, dignified care.

Qualifications and requirements: - Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from a recognised institution; - Registered and licensed with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) with a valid practising licence; - At least one year of clinical midwifery experience is an added advantage; - Good antenatal, labour and postnatal skills with a calm, patient-centred approach; - Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure; - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; - Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

━━━ 2. NURSE ━━━

We are also looking for a qualified Nurse to join our clinical team. You will support the day-to-day care of our patients, assist with diagnostic procedures and help maintain the high standards of care our centre is known for.

Key responsibilities: - Provide quality nursing care to outpatients and inpatients; - Assist clinicians and radiographers with diagnostic and minor procedures; - Administer medication and treatments as prescribed; - Triage patients, take vital signs and prepare patients for consultation; - Maintain clean, safe and well-organised clinical areas; - Educate patients and families on treatment plans and disease prevention; - Support infection prevention and control (IPC) practices; - Keep accurate patient records and uphold patient confidentiality.

Qualifications and requirements: - Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognised institution; - Registered and licensed with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) with a valid practising licence; - At least one year of clinical nursing experience is an added advantage; - Strong clinical skills, attention to detail and good judgement; - Compassion, empathy and a patient-centred approach; - Ability to work within a team and communicate clearly; - Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
