Mbale Orthopaedic and Research Institute Limited is a specialist health facility providing orthopaedic trauma care, spine surgery, bone and soft tissue surgery, tumour surgery, complex trauma surgery, pharmacy, paediatric orthopaedic and laboratory services. We are now looking for a dedicated and skilled nurse to deliver top-tier orthopaedic and surgical care.

About the role

The successful candidate will join our nursing team to care for patients undergoing orthopaedic and surgical treatment, from trauma and complex surgery to paediatric orthopaedic care. Because we are a specialist institute, you will care for a wide range of patients, including those recovering from bone and soft tissue procedures, tumour surgery and spine surgery, as well as children receiving orthopaedic treatment and patients visiting our pharmacy and laboratory services.

You will work closely with our surgeons and other clinical staff to make sure every patient receives safe, attentive and professional care at every stage of their journey. Your fluency in both Lugisu and English will help you communicate clearly with patients and their families, many of whom come to us from Mbale and the surrounding region. This is a rewarding clinical role for an enrolled or registered nurse who is compassionate, well organised and ready to work in a busy specialist facility. You will support patients before, during and after their treatment and help maintain the high standards of care our institute is known for.
