A newly established state-of-the-art Private Not for Profit (PNFP) teaching and research hospital in Jinja City, founded by the Catholic Diocese of Jinja — serving both affluent and vulnerable communities without discrimination.

Job Title: Radiographer (1 Position)

Department: Medical/Diagnostic Imaging

Main Purpose of the Job: To produce high-quality diagnostic images safely while ensuring radiation protection, accurate imaging services, and quality patient care within the hospital's radiology unit.

Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations (X-rays and related imaging) for inpatients and outpatients as requested by clinicians. - Position patients correctly and explain procedures to obtain optimal image quality with minimal repeat exposures. - Operate, clean, and perform basic care and quality checks on radiographic equipment; report faults promptly. - Apply radiation safety measures and protection protocols for patients, staff, and the public in line with national regulations. - Maintain accurate records of examinations, exposure factors, and patient data. - Ensure proper handling, labeling, and availability of images/reports for clinicians. - Maintain inventory of radiographic consumables and requisition supplies in time. - Adhere to infection prevention and control standards in the imaging unit. - Participate in departmental planning, reporting, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Experience: - Degree or Diploma in Medical Diagnostic Radiography from a recognized institution. - Must be registered and licensed with the Allied Health Professionals Council with a valid practicing license. - At least 3 years of experience.
