Enrolled Midwife

St Jude Medical and Surgical Center, located in Gayaza, is inviting applications from qualified, dedicated and compassionate individuals for the position of Enrolled Midwife. There are 2 positions available.

About the role

Midwives will provide essential maternal and newborn healthcare to mothers and babies in and around Gayaza. You will offer antenatal, delivery and postnatal care, monitor the health of mothers and newborns, counsel and educate families on safe motherhood, and keep accurate patient records. You will work both independently and as part of the clinical team, contributing to quality, compassionate care for every mother who comes through our doors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide antenatal, delivery and postnatal care
• Monitor maternal and newborn health
• Offer health education and counselling to mothers and families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Support other clinical duties as assigned

Requirements

• Certificate in Midwifery from a recognized institution
• Valid practising licence
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in maternal and child healthcare is an added advantage
