How to write a helpful review

Ratings & Reviews · Updated 6 August 2026

Keep it relevant, specific and objective. Focus on your experience, communication, professionalism, wait times, not on diagnoses or treatment accuracy.

A good review helps other patients make better decisions. Here are a few tips for writing one that is fair, useful and stays within our guidelines:

  • Keep it relevant, focus on the things you as a patient would most want to know: communication, professionalism, wait times, bedside manner.
  • Be specific, explain what you were looking for and how the practitioner did, rather than just saying 'great' or 'bad'.
  • Stay objective, describe your feelings about the care you received, but avoid making claims about whether a diagnosis or treatment was medically accurate.
  • Keep it concise, a short paragraph or two is plenty.
  • Don't guess, avoid speculating about why a practitioner did or didn't do something.

We don't publish reviews that are profane, defamatory, contain another person's private information, promote unrelated products or services, or make claims about treatment accuracy we cannot verify.
